1. No Data Collection
We do not routinely collect or store your personal data. Your information is processed and stored locally on your device. If you choose to submit an in-app feedback report, the information and attachments you include are securely transmitted to us solely for the purpose of responding to and improving the app.
2. Data Processing and Storage
All data, including user profiles, tasks, assignments, and school details, is processed and stored exclusively on your device. We do not transmit or store your data on any external servers.
3. Permissions
To provide certain features, My School may request access to the following device permissions. All permissions are optional and are only used for the purposes described below.
- Notifications: Used to send reminders for assignments, tasks, exams, classes, and other scheduled events.
- Location: Used to calculate the estimated travel time (ETA) to your school, display your school on maps, and provide weather forecasts for your current location. Location information is processed only while needed for these features and is never stored or transmitted to us.
- Photo Library: Used to allow you to select and attach images to assignments, tasks, exams, classes, and feedback submissions. Your photos remain on your device unless you explicitly choose to upload an attachment as part of a feedback report.
- Camera: Used to capture photos that you choose to attach to assignments, tasks, exams, classes, or feedback submissions. Images are never accessed without your permission.
- Contacts: Used only when you choose to save contact information from within the app to your device's Contacts. My School only writes contact information to your Contacts with your permission and does not read, access, or collect your existing contacts.
- Apple Health Access: Used to record your State of Mind entries related to assignments, tasks, and exams. This information is stored securely within Apple Health and is never accessible to us.
All permissions are optional and can be denied or revoked at any time through your device's Settings. We do not collect, store, or share data obtained through these permissions unless you explicitly choose to submit information as part of a feedback report.
4. Data Security
We prioritise the security of your data. All information is stored securely on your device using industry-standard security practices to prevent unauthorised access.
5. User Rights
You have full control over your data. Since all information is stored locally on your device, you can delete it at any time by uninstalling the app. Additionally, you can revoke permissions (e.g., Location and Health access) through your device settings.
6. Changes to This Privacy Agreement
We may update this Privacy Agreement periodically. Any changes will be communicated through updates in the app. Continued use of the app after updates signifies your acceptance of the new terms.
